Monica McWilliams was born May 17 in Hollywood, Florida. She is the second of Leslie’s four daughters. Beauty is in her blood, but like many artists she is multi-faceted. Her truest passion is writing. Her hands however, remain as loyal to hair today as they have since the age of fifteen. She advocates the marriage between beauty and brains as a master stylist and creative director at Leslie’s Salon. 

“I like to explain things to my clients,” Monica said. “Often I say too much and confuse them, but I always deliver expertise with true creativity.”

In addition to completing cosmetology school, Monica graduated from the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications. She is a wedding specialist and has worked with famous wedding planner Mindy Weiss. Outside the salon she writes, travels and spends quality time with friends and family.

“I love working with my family,” Monica said. “They always give me wings to pursue anything in the world.”
